A Design That Has Stood the Test of Time

Some products get redesigned every year because they have to. This one doesn't.

This fixture comes from the same proven design as our 150W and 240W high bays. The housing and rotatable-lens system have been in the field for years, sized down here for lower ceilings without losing any of the durability or control that made the larger versions reliable. The internals have kept pace with advances in LED efficiency, but the build itself is the same one that's already logged years of runtime in workshops, stockrooms, and shop floors.

At ceiling heights up to roughly 18 feet, a tall ladder is often enough to reach this fixture, so a failure here isn't the major undertaking it is on a high bay overhead. It still costs you something: a ladder, a person, and time pulled away from other work to swap a fixture that should have lasted. An 83,000-hour rated lamp life means you're far less likely to be making that trip at all.

Dial In the Exact Light You Need

Most low bays ship with a fixed beam. This one gives you three options, adjustable at install:

  • 60° for narrow aisles and focused work areas
  • 85° for general-purpose coverage in most rooms and shop floors
  • 105° for wide spread in open areas and stockrooms

The rotatable lens physically redirects the optics, not a diffuser, not a workaround. Pair that with dip-switch control over wattage (60W / 80W / 100W) and color temperature (4000K / 5000K), and you have a single fixture that covers almost any zone in a facility.

Energy Management Built In

  • 0-10V dimming. Connect to any standard commercial dimming controller to reduce output and energy use on demand.
  • Plug-in motion sensor port. Add occupancy control without rewiring; sensor sold separately.
  • Three wattage settings. Right-size the output to the ceiling height instead of over-lighting and over-paying.

Where It Works

  • Workshops & Repair Bays
  • Retail Stockrooms & Back-of-House Spaces
  • Auto Dealership Service Areas
  • Small Manufacturing & Assembly Spaces
  • Garages & Maintenance Facilities
  • Gymnasiums with Lower Ceiling Heights

Best suited for ceilings up to roughly 18 ft. For ceilings up to 20 ft, see our 150W high bay. For taller ceilings, see our 240W high bay.

Not All Low Bays Are Built the Same

A cheaper low bay might look similar in a listing photo. Here's what's different when it arrives, and years later.

This Fixture Typical Marketplace Import
Driver Quality Commercial-grade; stable, flicker-free output Consumer-grade; flicker common
Driver Design Separate external driver Driver-on-board (DOB); heat from the LEDs degrades the driver faster, shortening fixture life
Lamp Life 83,000 hours (L80) Often 50,000 hours or less, with output degrading faster than advertised
Temperature Rating -22°F to 122°F Typically 32°F–104°F
Impact Rating IK08 Rarely rated
Beam Angle Control 3-position rotatable lens Fixed; no field adjustment
Housing Aluminum alloy; proven design Often plastic or thin stamped metal
Warranty Support 5 years; ELEDLights US-based team Typically 1 year or less; seller may vanish
Rebate Eligible ✓ Yes, DLC Premium listed ✗ No, disqualified without DLC

On driver design: Many ultra-cheap fixtures use a "driver-on-board" design where the driver circuitry is mounted directly on the LED board. Because LEDs generate significant heat, the driver is constantly exposed to thermal stress, accelerating failure. This fixture uses a separate external driver, keeping it away from the heat source and extending the working life of the whole unit.

On rebates: DLC Premium certification means this fixture qualifies for utility rebates in most commercial programs, often $10 to $40 per fixture. On a multi-fixture install, that can meaningfully offset the cost difference versus a cheaper import before you account for energy savings and avoided replacement costs.

On replacement costs: At this mounting height, a tall ladder usually gets the job done, so a failure isn't the major expense it is on a high bay. But it still means downtime, a ladder, and someone's labor pulled away from other work to swap a fixture that shouldn't have failed in the first place. A rated lamp life of 83,000 hours means that interruption happens far less often, if at all.
