How Many Fixtures Can One Controller Run?*

The LCBC-X/B is rated for up to 8A of LED load at 120V or up to 3A at 277V. Because lighting is classified as a continuous load, standard electrical code practice (NEC 210.20(A)) recommends sizing to no more than 80% of rated capacity. The estimates below already build in that margin.

Wireless Range & Network Planning

Lightcloud Blue devices communicate over Bluetooth Mesh, and network range depends on both device-to-device distance and what's standing in between them. This extended-range controller covers significantly more ground than our standard-range model, well suited to warehouses and larger facilities.

• Indoor Range: Up to 60 ft between standard building materials, or up to 200 ft in a clear line of sight.
• Outdoor Range: Up to 200-300 ft with a clear line of sight, or up to 120 ft around corners.
• Obstructions Matter: Brick, concrete, and steel construction can block or weaken the signal further. For very large or heavily obstructed sites, plan for additional controllers to bridge the mesh network across the full space.
