RAB LCLCSENSE/SH Lightcloud and Lightcloud Blue Compatible PIR Sensor
RAB LCLCSENSE/SH Lightcloud and Lightcloud Blue Compatible PIR Sensor
The RAB LCLCSENSE/SH brings occupancy sensing and daylight harvesting to your lighting, wired directly into your Lightcloud Blue controller. No separate mounting or commissioning step, just plug it in and the controller handles the rest.
- Occupancy sensing: Brings lights to full brightness the instant someone enters, then dims or shuts off automatically once the space is empty.
- Daylight harvesting: Continuously holds a room at steady brightness, using only the energy the space actually needs.
- Built for standard ceilings: Rated for ceilings up to 9 ft, ideal for offices, classrooms, and retail sales floors.

Wired Occupancy Sensing for Standard Office and Retail Ceilings
The RAB LCLCSENSE/SH is a Lightcloud Blue-compatible occupancy sensor with daylight harvesting that connects directly into a compatible Lightcloud Blue controller's RJ09 port, no separate mounting hardware, no wireless commissioning step of its own. The controller does the talking to the rest of your Lightcloud Blue system over Bluetooth Mesh; this sensor simply feeds it occupancy and daylight data. Built for ceilings up to 9 ft, it's sized for offices, classrooms, and retail sales floors.
- Lights On the Instant Someone Enters: Occupancy sensing brings the space to full brightness the moment someone walks in, then dims or shuts the lights off automatically once the space empties out, with a timeout adjustable from the Lightcloud Blue app to match how the space is actually used.
- Consistent Brightness + Energy Savings: Daylight harvesting continuously fine-tunes output to hold a room at a set lux threshold, so lights never run brighter, or use more energy, than the space actually needs at that moment, with no manual adjustment required.
- Sized for Standard Ceilings: Rated for mounting heights up to 9 ft with a 20 ft detection diameter, matched to the ceiling height of a typical office, classroom, or retail space.
- Wired Directly Into Your Controller: Connects via RJ09, no separate power run or wireless pairing required for the sensor itself, just plug it into a compatible Lightcloud Blue controller and it's live.
- One Sensor, Multiple Controllers: This sensor's occupancy and vacancy commands relay through its host controller to every other Lightcloud Blue controller in the same area, so one sensor can control lighting across multiple circuits, not just the one it's wired to.
- Rated for Indoor and Outdoor Use: IP66 sealing handles dry, damp, or wet environments, so this sensor isn't limited to conditioned indoor spaces alone.
- Adjustable From Your Phone: All sensor settings — sensitivity, timeout, dim levels, and daylight threshold — are configured through the Lightcloud Blue app rather than a physical dial on the sensor itself.
- 5-Year Warranty: Full manufacturer coverage — purchased through ELEDLights as an authorized RAB dealer.
Bring Smart Control to Your Office, Classroom, or Retail Lighting
This sensor's real power shows up when it's controlling fixtures that never had any smart features to begin with. Pair the LCLCSENSE/SH with a Lightcloud Blue line-voltage controller, and any 0-10V dimmable fixture already installed in your space gains the same occupancy sensing and daylight harvesting as a purpose-built smart fixture, without replacing a single light.
- Retrofit Existing Fixtures Without New Fixtures: If your office, classroom, or retail space already runs 0-10V dimmable fixtures at standard ceiling heights, this sensor and a Lightcloud Blue controller can add motion-based control and daylight harvesting on top of what's already installed, no fixture replacement required.
- Real Energy Savings in Spaces That Aren't Always Full: Offices, classrooms, and sales floors are rarely occupied every minute of the day. Automatically dimming or shutting off lights when a space empties out, then bringing them back the instant someone enters, adds up to real savings over time.
- One System Across RAB and Non-RAB Fixtures Alike: Because the controller communicates over the same Bluetooth Mesh network as the rest of your Lightcloud Blue system, a building can mix RAB fixtures with retrofitted non-RAB fixtures and control them all from the same app.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does it install?
The sensor mounts near the controller and connects directly to it via an RJ09 cable, at ceiling heights up to 9 ft. There's no separate wireless pairing step for the sensor itself, once it's plugged into a compatible Lightcloud Blue controller, it's part of the system.
Why not just use a simple plug-in occupancy or daylight sensor?
A basic plug-in sensor works fine for a single fixture, but it has to be manually adjusted at the sensor itself every time sensitivity, timeout, or dim levels need to change. This sensor is adjusted entirely from your phone, and depending on your controller setup, it can factor into control of more than just the one fixture it's wired to.
How does it connect to my lights?
This sensor wires directly into a compatible Lightcloud Blue controller's RJ09 port, rather than communicating wirelessly on its own. The controller it's plugged into then communicates over Bluetooth Mesh with the rest of your Lightcloud Blue system, so the sensor's occupancy and daylight data can factor into control of that controller's fixture and, depending on setup, others in the same area.
Does this require a dim-to-off driver?
No. LCLCSENSE/SH works with any 0-10V dimmable fixture through its paired controller. A dim-to-off driver isn't required, though it does allow a smoother, continuous fade all the way to true darkness rather than stopping at the driver's minimum dim level.
Do I need a Lightcloud Blue controller to use this sensor?
Yes. Unlike RAB's wireless ceiling sensors, LCLCSENSE/SH connects through a compatible Lightcloud or Lightcloud Blue controller's RJ09 port. Pair it with a controller like LCBC-X or LCBLUECONTROL wired to your fixture, and the sensor's data controls that fixture through the controller.
Is this sensor DLC listed or rebate-eligible?
The sensor itself is not DLC listed. However, when paired with a DLC-qualified Lightcloud Blue controller, the overall lighting control system may still be eligible for utility rebates — check with your utility provider or our rebate assistance team to confirm what's available for your project.
Can it turn lights off completely, or does it keep them dimmed?
Both options are available. When the space is vacant, you can set the sensor to turn lights fully off or to hold at a low dim level, whichever fits the application.
Do I have to convert my whole facility at once?
No. You can start with a single room or zone, install a sensor and controller there, and see the results before expanding further. Every controller joins the same Bluetooth Mesh network, so adding more sensors and controllers later doesn't require any new infrastructure, just more devices on the same system.
