LED Tubes are most commonly used as an energy-saving alternative to fluorescent lighting in countless numbers of ceiling fixtures worldwide. However, one company in particular has found a unique and innovative way to use them for an altogether different purpose.
Got Light, a San Francisco event-design and production company founded in 2004, specializes in creative lighting, audio, video, draping and staging for weddings, galas, conferences, fundraisers, outdoor events, proms, concerts, private dinners and more.
Got Light changes the colors of the tubes by carefully wrapping the full length of each tube with a semi-transparent filter. They then suspend and arrange the tubes in intricate patterns to produce incredibly colorful and interesting effects. "Changing the colors on your LED tubes is one of the more labor intensive process for the Got Light team but it's a whole lot of fun," says Got Light Marketing Manager, Caitlin Grainger! "Our Big Bang Gala chandelier took over 10 days to wrap all 642 LED tubes!"
Got Light are true experts in color layering and texture. They offer many other lighting services, including dramatic uplighting, logo projection, dance lighting, chandeliers, lanterns, tent lighting, landscape lighting and more.
