This past weekend, several of the team members at ELEDLights were honored to take part in The Listening Walk at the Zoo and 5K Run benefiting The Clarke Schools for Hearing and Speech.

The Philadelphia campus of the Clarke Schools offers children who are hard of hearing the chance to develop the listening, learning, and spoken language skills they need to excel in the future. They seek to impact the lives of children through an array of educational programs and work with families and professionals to make sure children who are hard of hearing have every opportunity to reach their full potential. In particular, the Philadelphia location serves children from birth to age 6 in early intervention and preschool programs, as well as offering mainstreaming, speech, and language services to children of all ages.

This was the 4th year that the Listening Walk was held, a fun, family event that brings supporters of the Clarke Schools together to raise both awareness and educational funds, keeping access to Clarke’s exceptional service and programs available to children and families in the area. It was a day of learning, listening, and exploration that the ELEDLIGHTS team was honored to take part in. The day was a resounding success, where more than 1,185 people came together to raise over $170,000 to benefit the Clarke Schools.

Our client, Ironstone, asked if we would join them in supporting this great cause. Naturally, we jumped at the opportunity! We relish any chance to support both our partners and the community in any way that we can.

Along with over a dozen other corporate sponsors, ELEDLights worked to make this exciting event a success, offering zoo-animal-themed temporary tattoos to attendees from our resource table. We were glad for a chance for our team to lend a hand to children in our area.
