A solar fixture is a system — panel, battery, controller, and LED all have to perform together. A waterproof housing doesn't mean much if the battery inside it degrades within two years and can't be replaced. This fixture is built so you never have to choose between the two.

How does this light perform in cold weather?
The battery is rated to charge between 32°F and 122°F. In colder conditions, the battery can still discharge and run the light using its stored charge, but recharging slows or pauses until daytime temperatures rise back above freezing. The 6-day battery reserve is built with this in mind, giving the fixture a substantial buffer through cold spells.
How do I replace the battery when it wears out?
The battery is field-replaceable, so a maintenance technician can access and swap it on-site without removing the entire fixture from the pole. This keeps the light in service far longer than a sealed-battery design, where the whole fixture typically has to be replaced once the battery degrades.
