Click the cube icon & enter the room's dimensions. "Workplane Height" is where the light levels will be measured from. For example, 2.5 ft is about desk height. "Suspension Length" is how far your fixture will hang below the ceiling. If the fixture will be flush with the ceiling or recessed, enter 0.

Next, click the calculator icon & enter your desired light level (“Illuminance”) in foot candles (fc). You can find recommended light levels here broken down by application. Common applications include general & cold storage (10fc), office work (30fc), retail displays (30-40fc), fitness centers (30-40fc), gymnasiums (50+fc), and detail-oriented manufacturing (75+fc).”

As you make changes, the layout updates instantly to show recommended fixture (luminaire) quantities and spacing. Click the printer icon in the top bar to get a report you can print or share.
